No. You can see all forthcoming classes, dances and other dance events from the Events/What's On page without logging in. You can also see the Dance Directory and Recent News pages.

Click on Events/What's On in the top menu bar. This will display a calendar showing all dance events for the current month. If you only wish to see dances, click on the "Change Event Type" button and tick only "Dances".

The first time you click on What's On (Dance Directory or News) you will need to select your dance style and region, then click on "Show Events" (Show Organisers or Show News).These settings will remain the same for each of these pages until you change them by clicking on any of the "Change" buttons at the top of the What’s On form, and put a tick in the "Remember Settings" box.
If you become a member these settings will be stored as your default filters, so when you login the Whats On, News and Dance Directory pages will show only listings of interest to you. You can filter within these results or change the settings using any combination of these filter boxes. Your default filter settings will only be changed if you tick the "Remember Settings" box.

Yes. You can print a monthly calendar, or a list of the next 8 weekends, using the "Print Calendar" button on the right hand side of the filter settings.

Yes. To print a event flyer click on the "Print Flyer" button on the top right hand side of the page.

We take the following steps to try to ensure the accuracy of the information as far as possible:
- We only allow organisers, and approved partners, to add and update events and other information on the website. Members or other users of AreYouDancing are not allowed to update events directly.
- We incorporate a number of checking processes when data is entered.
- We check the data ourselves as often as possible, and encourage partners who work with us to do the same.
Please note, however, that circumstances can change and mistakes do happen. So please check with the organiser before making your journey.

New events are being added each day. Events for dates in the past do not appear on the website. We monitor the activities of the organisers, and request that they keep their information up to date. We will remove those that cease to be active.

If you click on the "List View" tab you will see the same events as a list. This will show additional information such as who the event is being organised by, venue, dance styles, and a short description. For full information on the event, click on the event name (from either the calendar or list view). This will take you to a separate page with more information about the event itself, together with information about the organiser. You will find more information about the venue here too, including a map (where a postcode for the venue has been supplied), and directions (if provided by the organiser).

Yes, if the organiser has provided a postcode. Click on the event name. This will take you to a separate page with more information about the event itself, including the venue. If the organiser has provided directions, these will be displayed here. If we have a postcode for the venue you can click on "Show Location Map". This will open a new window for GoogleMaps. A green arrow will indicate the approximate location of the venue. Use the small arrows in the top left of the map to navigate further up, down, zoom in or out. You can get directions by clicking on "Get Directions", enter the start address or postcode, then click on the "Get Directions" button.
Please note that, as the search is based on the venue’s post code, the arrow on the map will indicate the approximate location of the venue. The result will also be dependent upon the accuracy of the information entered by the organiser.

The Dance Directory pages list all organisers who advertise their events on AreYouDancing. Click on the organiser name. This will take you to a full description of the organiser, including their most recent news items and the next forthcoming events.

AreYouDancing is a "dynamic" web site. That is, you can filter and search for events and other information in your area for your preferred dance style. How quickly this information is found and displayed will depend upon how many people are using the site at the same time as you. We are constantly monitoring and improving the speed, so please let us know if speed is a problem for you.

If you are logged in, this means you are not attending this event (a green smiley face means you are attending this event). If you are not logged in, all the faces will be blue. To add this event to your personal calendar, please log in or join now.

Yes. Click on Join Now!. This link is shown on every page, just under the top menu bar on the far right hand side.
Enter a login name and click "next".
Enter your first name, surname, password and email. Click "Join Now" The My Profile page will then be displayed which will allow you to add more information about yourself including dance styles. You will also be able to set your Privacy Settings. If you do not want other members of AreYouDancing to see your name, please remove the tick next to the "Public Display" box. You can change any of this information at any time.

Each member of AreYouDancing registers an interest in events that they are going to by clicking on the blue sad face next to the event name. This automatically updates his/her own personal calendar. It also updates the "Who’s Dancing" calendar which shows all events that you and your friends are going to. To do this join now, then from the Choose Friends page click on anyone you want to add to your list of friends. Once they have accepted, you will be able to see where they are going and vice versa.
