Short swing dance class and dance in aid of the Canterbury Food Bank
Dance Styles: 1940s Jive, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Lindy Hop, Rock n Roll
Price: 4 donations to the Canterbury Food Bank (dried/tin food, long life drink, essential toiletries etc)
Ticket Options: Pay on door
Each Tuesday we teach a short beginner’s swing or vintage dance at 8.45pm (24/2/20 & 3/3/20, the Heel Shag, a swing dance from the 1930s perfect for slower and mid tempo numbers.
Followed by a great selection of music from the mid 20th century for you to practice your new found moves or brush up your Jive, Lindyhop, Charleston, Balboa, Shag, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Mambo, Salsa etc.
Entry: 4 donations for the Canterbury Foodbank (tinned/dried food, long life drinks, essential toiletries, pet food, cleaning products etc).

Canterbury Baptist Church Hall venue
Good size hall, well lit with a high ceiling and an excellent sound system. Toilets and a kitchen are available.
Canterbury Baptist Church hall is situated close to the city centre, just off the ring road, near the central bus station and in walking distance from both Canterbury East and West Railway Stations.
Several car parks are located in Canterbury city centre, many of which are within walking distance. Canterbury ‘park and ride’ buses run every 7-8 minutes from Wincheap, New Dover Road and Sturry Road directly to Canterbury City Centre. Canterbury Bus Station is just 5 minute walk away and there is a bus stop nearly outside the hall and on the opposite side of the road which are stops for the 12, 15, 16, 23A, 43 and 89.
