Dance away the evening with your partners, friends also meet new people. We aim to play the best music that'll have your feet tapping and just want to get up and dance

Charlton Down Village Hall venue
The Ballroom
This magnificent Victorian Ballroom was originally designed by the architect G. T. Hine, and was built in 1894/5 for the community at the former Herrison Hospital. Room size is an impressive: 23M x 13M
The ballroom has an impressive hammer beam ceiling, a resilient wooden floor and stained glass upper windows. The south aspect enjoys beautiful countryside views. A large extended stage, excellent sight lines and first class acoustics makes the ballroom a popular venue for musical events. The ballroom has played host to world class musicians, choirs, and dances
Parking is restricted to those spaces in front of the Village Hall and surrounding roads
Please note: The two car parks to the right and left of the hall are private for residents only so please don’t use them.
From the North (Sherborne) take the A352 southbound
From the West (Yeovil) take the A37 then turn left for Charminster, left again at crossroads, through the village, turn right to Charlton Down.
From the East (Poole) take the A35 from Poole, or A31 from Wimborne to Bere Regis then A37 from Bere Regis to Dorchester, turn Right at Kingston Maurward Roundabout, head for town centre, then right B3143, left onto lane, then at the T junction Turn Right towards Charlton Down.
