About Swinging Cymbals Dance Events

Angela has been a Ballroom and Latin American dancer since the age of 7 and competed at very high levels for many years. She was trained at the County School of Dancing in Reading, as well as at various London studios, and she also represented the UK in Europe..

Mike was a semi-professional musician for many years and ran his own dance bands in both the North East and South of the UK.

Having moved to Wiltshire in 2012, we saw a need for afternoon tea dances, primarily for retirees and also those who wish to dance.

We have a vast range of carefully selected music to cover all dances, including sequence, all played on our own high quality stereo PA system.

Angela is available for conducting private dance lessons, as well as the now-popular "Wedding First Dance".

We have run dances in Reading, Cornwall and now in Broughton Gifford and Bradford-on-Avon since 2012, as well as recently becoming one of the regular music presenters at the Top Flight Dance Club at BAWA in Bristol. We have also just opened at Market Lavington's Community Hall since St. Margaret's Hall at Bradford-on-Avon was recently severely flooded.

Swinging Cymbals also run dance holidays/breaks at the Langstone Cliff hotel in Dawlish, South Devon.
