About Friendly Folk of Solihull

Friendly Folk are a folk dance group that have been meeting at this venue in Solihull for over 30 years. We meet ever Monday evening except bank holidays and during August. Beginners welcome, with or without a partner. The venue is a large hall with a spacious car park. Generally we dance to live music one week in three, recorded music the others, to the calling of a variety of local Midland callers. The dancing, therefore, can be quite varied within the folk dance genre, from Playford to contras and squares, and everything in between. We occasionally host American callers when they are over for festivals
