About The Hop Jive Club

The Hope Jive Club is back following a forced break due to the dreaded Covid.

The Hop Jive Club, run by Jan and Tony, has been established for over 30 years with its debut opening in Farnham, Surrey, back in the 1990’s.

Jan and Tony also opened the one and only Jive Shack, back in the late 1990’s, hosting some of the greatest Rock’n’Roll bands around at that time, which included, Good Rockin Tonight, Big Boy Bloater and his Southside Stompers, The heartbeats, The Avengers, The Alabamma Slammers, The Heartbreakers, Jive Street, Razzle Dazzle, Darrel Higham and the Enforcers and The River Boys… What an excellent line up for a new Rock n Roll Club of its time. The Jive Shack also saw the introduction of DJ Mascarponi, the resident D J at the time.

Jan and Tony carried on with the Hop Jive Club in the Northamptonshire Area following a move to East Midlands, sadly Covid took no prisoners and the club had to close, but is now back with a relaunch of their fabulous record hop, with the one and only DJ Mascarponi hosting those digital decks and bringing some memorable sounds of the fifties and sixties plus music from some of the R'n'R bands still around and playing the circuit, today He will also be playing some of those great Country Rock, Blues and Boogie tunes to get your dance juices flowing.
