The evening typically begins with a Beginners class followed by a Beginners Improvers/Intermediate Class in Modern Jive. The format includes a 30-minute freestyle section after the first class and a longer 90-minute freestyle section after the second class. During the freestyle sessions, participants have the opportunity to showcase both their familiar and newly acquired dance moves.

One notable aspect of U-Dance is its emphasis on socializing. The event provides a great opportunity for like-minded individuals to come together and enjoy a shared passion for dance. Additionally, the majority of the music played during the event is chosen by the members, ensuring a diverse and enjoyable mix. Attendees have the freedom to request specific songs, creating a personalized and interactive musical experience.
