Let the sophisticated sound of Barry’s 14-piece orchestra whisk you back in time, as you glide across the dancefloor in your favourite ballroom steps such as the Foxtrot, Quickstep and Waltz. Enjoy delicious homemade tea and cake provided by Vintage Allsorts, or a Pop Up bar beverage, whilst listening to live performance of classic ballroom numbers in the Southern Maltings. Come and share the nostalgia with contemporaries and new friends who appreciate the lasting appeal of these well-crafted songs. All ages and dancers of all abilities are welcome. Lead Dancers will be on hand to provide reminders and demonstrations of how move around the dancefloor to tempo.
The event is on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building. Please check with the event organisers if using stairs is problematic.
Southern Maltings is a not for profit organisation run by volunteers. All proceeds from our events go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.
