Due to the closure of a number of ballroom dance venues and the popularity of sequence dancing, it has become increasingly difficult for ballroom dancers to find a suitable venue where they can dance.
We have been running 50/50 tea dances in the West Wiltshire area for almost three years and have seen the changes in dance styles.
We believe there is a need for ballroom dances as well as the 50/50 dances, which is why we decided to run ballroom dances in addition to our other dance commitments.
Broughton Gifford Village Hall was built in 1960. It has a very large, sprung wooden floor and there is plenty of room to dance and it is also air-conditioned, which is a huge positive. It has the usual facilities. Everywhere is in excellent condition and kept in very good order.
Car parking is on-site and there is ample space for all.
The hall is in "The Street" at Broughton Gifford and just behind what is currently the "Fox" public house.

Broughton Gifford Village Hall venue
Lovely, clean, well-kept village hall, light and airy with a large wooden "sprung" floor - excellent for dancing. Fully equipped kitchen with the usual toilet facilities. As well as heating, the hall has air-conditioning.
Car-parking is on-site (just behind what was the Rusty Stag public house ). There is more than ample space and parking is free.
From Melksham, take the B3107 towards Holt. Turn right for Broughton Gifford where you see the road sign.
From the Holt direction, you will be on the B3107. Just after Holt, there is a left turning. This takes you into Broughton Gifford
