"Step into the elegant world of English Country Dance, where Jane Austen’s ballroom meets a rich folk tradition! In this inclusive workshop, you’ll learn simple, flowing dances from the 17th to 19th centuries, guided by friendly caller Jemima Swain and set to beautiful live music from jazz-influenced folk trio Pagoda Project. No need for a partner or previous experience, so whether you’re a Bridgerton fan, a historical dance nerd, or just curious, come and give it a whirl!
If you like the sound of this, you might also be interested in learning more English Country Dances with Louise Siddons on Wednesday morning, and experiencing our grand Playford Ball on Tuesday afternoon! We also recommend our nightly Ceilidhs and Contra Dance workshops to boost your social dance fix."
