With 20 years experience of mediaeval and early dance, this workshop on 14th and 15th century dancing is a really good laugh! Led by mediaeval and folk dance lunatic Tim Walker (Banter, BBC Radio), the dances are simple, but huge fun. Come and learn the roots of many surviving traditional and social dances across Europe. All ages and abilities.

Sarah Thorne Theatre venue

The Sarah Thorne Theatre hosts all the dance workshops and ceilidhs at this year's Broadstairs Folk Week. The dances start on Friday 8 August and finish on Friday 15 August 2025.

The theatre is on the way into Broadstairs High Street, a short walk from the festival campsite at Dane Court School and the train station. There is very limited car parking but street parking is available and the nearest car park is St.Peter's Park Road which is at the other end of Fordoun Road. There is an on-site bar and toilets.
