New to Broadstairs Folk week this year we have Sparkles Bellydance for beginners bringing you a fantastic workshop at the Sarah Thorne theatre. All abilities and ages welcome! Family friendly. If you fancy learning some new moves and shimmying your troubles away, then this the workshop for you! Increase your confidence whilst sharing laughter with music that will want to make you want to shimmy all the way home.

The Sarah Thorne Theatre hosts all the dance workshops and ceilidhs at this year's Broadstairs Folk Week. The dances start on Friday 8 August and finish on Friday 15 August 2025.
The theatre is on the way into Broadstairs High Street, a short walk from the festival campsite at Dane Court School and the train station. There is very limited car parking but street parking is available and the nearest car park is St.Peter's Park Road which is at the other end of Fordoun Road. There is an on-site bar and toilets.
