We are a group of experienced dancers and event organisers wishing to invite dancers to join our group!
As teachers, we have a wealth of experience in the history and tradition of Irish set dancing, and teach in the UK, Belgium, Czech Republic and USA and Canada.
We organise two major events each year, which attract dancers from all over Europe, but we have very few local dancers; please come and join us.
We meet on Thursday evenings at Basingstoke Irish Centre from 8pm onwards, but we can arrange for a "beginners'" session earlier in the evening should you wish. we will meet every Thursday and dance in accordance with the level of experience of those attending. It may be ceili dances, two hand dances, set dances; we'll decide on the night what is danced!
For beginners, we can offer simple introductions such as a two-hand reel, jigs such as "The Peeler and the Goat", and other social dances which are traditionally danced at weddings, parties and in people's homes..
