Geckoes have been a name on the English Ceilidh scene for over 30 years. Evolving out of the country dances of the British Isles, Europe and America, English Ceilidh dancing is typified by its exuberance, and Geckoes' music has all the energy and style that it takes to fill a floor with hundreds of delighted - if somewhat sweaty - dancers. www.geckoes.co.uk
Barry has ben a caller and musician with his own band for many years, and his repertoire of dances is second to none.
With our Grand Raffle, a free tot of whisky at midnight, and Auld Lang Syne it'll be an evening to remember.
There is a limit of 80 tickets, and we sold out weeks before the event last year. St Mary's Hall venue
A great venue with good access and ventilation, and a separate bar.
The hall is in the grounds of St Mary's Church, Baldock. Park as near as you like to the Old Town Hall - it's a 2 minute walk from there to the hall. Parking on High Street or at the Twitchell Car Park, off Simpson Drive (with the library on the corner).
