Our ceilidhs have music and dances from all over the British Isles and our special Ceilidh Bal extends this to some “Balfolk” from France and other European countries! We know how important it is for dances to be easy to learn and the team will be showing you how to do some easy continental dances as well as well-known Ceilidh favourites

We’ve found a great band that play great Ceilidh and great Balfolk. That’s a very rare skillset and didn’t think it possible to fulfil this dream in Stroud. Then we went to Sidmouth Folk Festival last summer and discovered our old Balfolk friends Sawney White Bird playing a cracking ceilidh under the “Sunbird” label. So we’ve booked them for your dancing pleasure! There will be two callers/workshop leaders to help you through the steps.
