The Tranky Doo is one of the three iconic jazz dance routines from the Swing Era… standing alongside the Shim Sham and the Big Apple. Come and learn this beautiful dance and be ready to join in when the summer season arrives. We will be dancing it at our next Shrewsbury Tea Dance on the 12th April.
No partner required, some basic knowledge of vernacular jazz such as the Shim Sham routine or single jazz steps would be useful but not essential. Two dates have been set aside for the workshops as it’s a lot to learn in one session. Try and get to both if you can.
Session 1: March 21st at Alrewas Village Hall, DE13 7HB. 1-3pm
Session 2: April 4th at Fradley Village Hall, WS13 8NL 10-12noon
