Single Time Swing Mini-Workshop with tea and cake
Dance Styles: Balboa, East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing

Single Time Swing is based on old-time dances like One Step and Peabody, adapted for Balboa moves but other Swing dancers would find it relatively easy to pick up. It is great fun and can be danced at any tempo, depending on individual stamina! It's a great alternative for those tricky in-between tempos when you're not sure which dance to do. We have now run several mini-workshops and our victims (!) have really enjoyed it and are starting to try it out on the social dance floor.
The workshop will run from 2.30 to 4.30pm with a water break, followed by tea, cake and and hour's practise time.
Booking is recommended for this afternoon and no partner is necessary but if you can book as a pair this will help to keep the numbers even.

Rudford and Highleadon Village Hall venue
A short course of Slow Balboa (not balboa danced slowly!) at Rudford Village Hall, starting in October and finishing before Christmas. The first class will be suitable for everyone who is familiar with Balboa and/or Lindy Hop, and subsequent sessions will build on the basic moves. We aim to increase confidence, technique, creativity and fun in dancing with a partner to slow music!
Our dates are:
14th and 28th October
11th November
2nd and 16th December
The classes will run from 7.30-9.15pm with a 15 minute break in the middle and will be £6 per session to include refreshments.
