Lets Dance!

New mixed social dances with varied tunes- maybe you can dance a social foxtrot to a track that others would dance a slow swing jive to - thats fine! Maybe that Quickstep is also good for a Balboa? Cool! This doesn't work for every style - clearly a waltz is a waltz - but lets have some fun with it. Watching new styles you are not familiar with, might encourage you to try a new class.

We also encourage asking someone to dance that isn't your regular partner - yes, even the ballroom tracks - changing partners makes for better leaders and followers so give it a go, just keep it simple until you know what your new partner is up to speed with.

In addition to the styles mentioned above, I will also be playing music for dancing the following styles:

Swing: Balboa and Lindy hop
Argentine Tango
Jive: Rock and Roll and Smooth Modern
