An afternoon of swing dance classes with teachers Andrew Hall from Canterbury Jive and guest teacher Emma Claydon.

1pm: Solo Charleston with Emma Claydon

Charleston is an early swing dance that can be danced solo or with a partner, Emma will be teaching a short fun solo routine

1.45pm: 1940’s/50’s style Jive with Andrew Hall and Emma Claydon

Jive is a partner swing dance that was very popular in the 1940s and 1950s.

2.30pm: Collegiate Shag with Andrew Hall and Emma Claydon

Collegiate Shag is a fairly energetic swing dance that started in the 1930s and was very popular with the college kids of the day.

All the classes are suitable for all abilities.

£8 tickets in advance from the Glass House.

The classes will be followed by a singer performing hits from the 1950s and 1960s so stay and try out your moves.
