Swing Dance on the Stour

Canterbury’s monthly swing dance club at the atmospheric riverside Mooring Cafe & Bar, home to the Canterbury Punting Company.

The evening starts at 7.30pm with a beginner’s swing dance class with resident and guest teachers.

Featuring a great mix of Big Band Swing, Jump Jive, Boogie Woogie, Gypsy Jazz, Early Rhythm’N’Blues, Western Swing, Hillbilly Boogie, Broadway and Movie Melodies, Latin, Exotica and Calypso from the 1930’s to the early 1950’s.

No strict dress code but vintage style is always appreciated.

Free entry but any donation to the running of the evening is welcome.
